Educational Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics / E&TC, having knowledge in Electrical Systems used in IC Engine vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for E&E parts packaging in CAD using Siemens NX.
  • Responsible for carrying out DMU checks in all aspects of functionality viz. assembly (DFA) / serviceability (DFS).
  • Responsible for drawing preparation in PLM (Teamcenter) and release activity at various vehicle stages & UG NX 2D,3D handling, drawing preparation & review
  • Support vehicle programs through the entire life cycle including; design, prototype builds, vehicle test and production.
  • Understanding of vehicle electrical architecture & support for preparation of circuit diagram at vehicle system level
  • Co-ordination with various cross functional teams for testing, Homologation, vehicle batches (Proto, Pilot, SOP), Plant, service
  • Handling diagnostics (CAN log analysis) & flashing
  • Technical document preparation for Diagnostic manual, various standard operating procedure, Homologation requirement documents
  • Support field team for issue resolution for design specific/ quality topics.

Competencies

Technical/ Functional

  • Good understanding of basic theories and design concepts of different electronics and electrical components used in IC engine vehicles.
  • Know-how of electrical system design for alternate fuel vehicles viz. CNG/ LPG/Ethanol/ hybrid
  • Software skills: CAD, UG NX or equivalent
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Know-how of applicable standards/ regulations and their application for IC engine
  • Knowledge of vehicle harness design considerations, wire size selection, power connectors & vehicle electrical insulation requirements etc.

Specific Expertise

  • Product Lifecycle Management tool (E.g. Teamcenter)
