Education - Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical Engineering
Experience - 5+ years.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for 3D modelling of motor parts and assemblies in UGNX.
- Creation of 2D part drawings and assembly drawings of traction motor.
- Handling the workflows in Teamcenter.
- Co-ordinate with cross functional teams like component development, transmission, vehicle integration etc... and resolve DFM / DFA comments.
- Get motor parts made in collaboration with Prototype team.
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
- Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.
Technical/ Functional Domain
- Knowledge of automotive drive train and components in EV and HEV drivetrain.
- Strong knowledge of the mechanical design of motors & good understanding of construction/manufacturing methods of electric machines. Emphasis on documentation.
- Knowledge of motor assembly, winding techniques, and materials. Knowledge of electric machine testing methods & standards. Knowledge of basic design parameters of electric motors, raw material, practical production problems, and different application requirements of permanent magnet motors, quality, and process.
- Strong knowledge of the mechanical design of motors & good understanding of construction/manufacturing methods of electric machines.
- Software skills: UGNX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Teamcenter.
