Job Role & Responsibilities

Job Overview

To lead the overall QA function (incoming quality, in process quality, outgoing quality, vendor parts quality & export supply quality) for the manufacturing location while interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure product quality.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Independent handling of all QA functions for High-end Sports bikes
  • Adopting and developing new quality standards, processes, for sustaining and improving product quality
  • Leading and developing a diverse team for new capabilities and high performance. Ensuring team performance in regard to DWM, SIR of parts as per plan
  • Examining the outgoing vehicle quality for functional, aesthetic, safety etc.
  • Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
  • Process audit at vendors & shops for verification of system compliance.
  • Understanding customer expectations and needs from the product.
  • Developing and improving supplier quality
  • Knowledge of New product development process.
  • Interface with R&D for rectifying quality issues and analysis
  • Audits- Internal and vendor quality, TPM
  • Analyzing statistical reports on quality standards and suggesting corrective measures
  • Field failure analysis along with CQA – EFR / Warranty & initiating actions
  • Guide concerned departments & vendors for implementing corrective & preventive actions.

  • Sound knowledge on supplier quality processes, NCDS.
  • Knowledge in Press & Fabrication parts, Propriety & polymer parts.
  • Knowledge on Engine parts and functions
  • Material science knowledge of engine, vehicle, and painted parts
  • Troubleshooting on supplier process issues and analysis.
  • Knowledge electrical vehicle components viz. ECU, sensors
  • Knowledge on homologation

Specific expertise required for functional area:

-      NCDS – New Component Development Systems

  • Quality processes, frameworks and standards. Knowledge of Quality tools such as:
    • 7QC tools,
    • Fault-tree analysis,
    • 8D reports,
    • Shainin system,
    • Cp-Cpk methodology,
    • Stack-up analysis 
  • Knowledge on New Model development as per APQP process on Quality roles.
