6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and execute monthly, weekly and daily production plans in alignment with business requirements and sales demand.
  • Ensure availability of materials and components as per production schedules to achieve production targets.
  • Drive production plan adherence and monitor achievement against planned volumes and model mix.
  • Coordinate with Materials, Purchase, SCM and Vendors to ensure uninterrupted component availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain inventory within management norms while minimizing working capital.
  • Assess and enhance vendor capacities to support volume ramp-up, new model introductions and demand fluctuations.
  • Plan and execute engineering changes, model mix changes and new product implementation in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor line stoppages arising from material shortages and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead inventory optimization initiatives and reduce excess, slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
  • Drive logistics and transportation cost optimization through route rationalization, milk-run implementation and other supply chain initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with material accounting processes, perpetual inventory verification (PIV), audit requirements and statutory norms.
  • Support outsourcing and subcontracting activities as per business requirements and management guidelines.
  • Develop robust production and material planning systems through digitization, automation and analytics.
  • Lead TPM, Kaizen, Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the PPC function.
  • Prepare management dashboards and planning reports for performance review and decision-making.
  • Skill & capability development of PPC team members through training, coaching and performance management.
  • Drive cost reduction, inventory turns improvement and overall supply chain efficiency enhancement initiatives.
