- KEY COMPETENCIES

Technical/Functional |
1. Be able to liason with government officials, on matters related to factories law and labour law- especially, factory inpextor, pollution control board and labour comissioners. 2. In-depth knowledge of factory, labour related compliances. 3. Good understanding of disciplinary proceedings, principles of natural justice and domestic enquiries. 4. Structured and strategic approach towards employee communication - be able to hold timely communication meets. 5. Understanding of long term settlements and negotiations. 6. Monitoring and governance of Contract Labour Management System. 7. Be able to handle PF, factory and other audits. 8. Be able to maintain informal networks with workmen, have credible information sources and be able to maintain industrial peace. |

5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
|
1. Maintain all factory and labour realted compliances up to date. 2. To periodically monitor various liscences and leases - renew them as they expire. 3. Hold meetings with the works committee and ensure welfare related matters are taken care of. 4. Closely monitor the pulse of the workmen to understand signs of unrest. 5. Take disciplinary action on code of conduct issues related to workmen. 6. Monitor absenteesm and take actions whereever necessary to support smooth factory operations and production. 7. Hold events to engage shop floor employees. 8. Monitor time office and time rules, guide functional departments on leaves during festive season 9. Run various change management initiatives upon change in policies, benefits or work requirements among workmen. |
