Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:  

Planning & Development of process, Equipment, Tooling & automation for 2 Wh.& CVs Press Parts

 

Process Planning

•          Design simplification & rationalization by drawing study of new parts & identifying DFM, PQS-CTQ points for Sheet metal parts & tubes.

•          Devise standard  process & process parameters.

•          Explore AI driven processes

Defect free fast product Introduction

•          Development lead time reduction of tooling/ equipment  for fast product introduction

•          To establish necessary Poka-Yoke/interlocks for fool proof manufacturing process of sheet metal parts.

Flawless Manufacturing & Product quality enhancement

•          Study & resolve quality issues reported by plant & field

•          Improve process reliability to get zero defect part supplies.

•          Aesthetics improvement of visible parts.

Cost reduction & Capital Investment avoidance

•          To generate VAVEs for part cost reduction

•          Right sizing of equipment for Capital investment avoidance.

Green processes

•          Adaption of Green processes.

•          Explore Resource conservation.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

 

•           Thorough knowledge of Stamping processes , Hydroforming process

•           Expertise in understanding process simulation and tooling design

•           Expertise in setting stamping process parameters for Forming, cutting & Hydroforming processes

•           Analytical capability to analyze & resolve the defects reported.

•           Thorough knowledge about process/ tool Tryout & proving procedure.

•           Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable.

  • Excel, Power Point, SAP, Team Centre, NX Unigraphics, forming Simulation analysis (e.g. Pam-stamp)
