Job Role & Responsibilities
|
Role: HPDC/ LPDC/ GDC dies Manufacturing (In-house/vendor ) assembly, tryout & commissioning at casting Production vendor
|
|
Responsibilities:
New die casting dies development.
- Part proving at production vendor & dies commissioning
- Tryout, debugging & validation for die casting in-house & at tooling vendor.
- Resolving Quality & Productivity issues for die casting parts.
- Initiate & implement cost reduction proposals for die casting parts.
- Process simulation study, DFM feedback & process finalization.
- DFM for die design for Quality issues of similar parts & improvements.
- New concept tooling development for lead time reduction, productivity improvement & cost reduction.
- Handling of in-house die casting tool manufacturing, tryout & SIR activities.
- Implementation of SOPs, check-sheets etc. for flawless manufacturing of dies.
- Proactive upgradation of process to get zero defect supplies.
- Study process to improve detectability of defects.
- To deliver the parts in time for pre-pilot, pilot batches as per schedule
- To complete development of parts as per schedule to meet SOP as per target.

Competency Requirements
|
Technical/ Functional:
- Knowledge in die casting technology & die casting machines
- Proficient in advanced manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of different steel grades PVD coatings used in dies
- Expertise in advance cutting tool applications.
- Knowledge of PDC metal flow simulation analysis (e.g. Magma)
- Expertise in die casting part defect analysis & countermeasures.
- Knowledge engine assembly and function of various parts.
- Knowledge of secondary processes like casting machining and surface treatment
- Good understanding of all applicable standards/ regulations and their application.
- Knowledge of DFM, DRBFM PRBFM & PFMEA
Soft Skill set: UG NX Excel, Power Point, SAP, Team Centre
