Job Purpose –

  • A Product Planning and Development Manager develops products by identifying potential products, conducts market research, determines product specifications and develops product strategies to ensure growth on the top line and bottom line

 

  • Quadricycle category management (360o Product management - Product positioning, sales, marketing, customer insight & market feedback)

KRA -

Profit Planning:
• Plan yearly budget in alignment with the business plans and manage the cash flow to ensure profitability
• Constantly monitor Product Decisions, Pricing Policy, Channel Mix, Sales Plan, Marketing Plan to improve Gross Margin levels.
• Analyse and update concerned data regarding all the key variables that impact Gross Margin for products.

Product Planning and Development:
• Devise and plan product strategies to ensure growth on the top line and bottom line, and spread is achieved.
• Devise and implement product mix & pricing strategies.
• Defining a product roadmap and long- term strategy for the various products.
• Reviewing the key performance parameters to ensure effective delivery on business requirements.
• Tracking the effectiveness of plans executed by analysing various reports and identifying areas that require immediate focus.
• Continuously benchmark the product portfolio with competition & ensure lead in differentiated products.
• Develop Market intelligence by conducting thorough market research and assess the products in the market.
• Industry, Competitive Analysis - Identify new product/business opportunities.
• Relaying the customer feedback to R&D Team in order to improve or innovate the product offerings.
• Ensuring the Product and feature feasibility.

Supporting Responsibilities:
• Providing Operational Support to Marketing, Sales, Service, & Logistics Teams
• Provide support to the sales team with solutions for speeding up execution based on customer insights.
• Establish trade relationships by meeting key accounts and engaging in discussions.
• Monitor and keep a track on the activities of Supply from the plant to ensure delivery as per plan.
