Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:  Planned Maintenance 

Responsibilities: Utilities & production Equipments

  • Specialized Equipment Maintenance: Yaskawa Robotics: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Yaskawa paint robots (e.g., GP/Motoman series) for precision coating applications.
  • Mitsubishi PLC Systems: Program, diagnose, and repair Mitsubishi FX & R Series PLCs, ensuring seamless integration with HMIs and SCADA Genesis.
  • Oven & Gas Train (PNG) Systems: Oversee maintenance of curing ovens, gas trains (PNG), burners, and safety interlocks, ensuring compliance with combustion standards.
  • Conveyor Systems: Maintain electrical drives, sensors, and controls for paint shop conveyors.
  • Spray Booth Maintenance: Manage electrical components of downdraft booths, filtration systems, and electrostatic equipment.
  • Develop PM schedules for robotics, PLCs, ovens, and gas trains to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Use predictive tools (vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to identify electrical/mechanical failures.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to integrate IoT sensors for real-time monitoring of oven temperatures and gas flow rates.
  • Energy management, Utility Maintenance – Compressors, LT panel, UPS, ETP, STP, DM plant

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols for flammable area, environments, gas train operations, and high-voltage systems.
  • Understanding of the legal applicable norms and compliance.

 

 

Team Leadership:

  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Manage shift schedules to align with production targets and maintenance windows.

Budget & Spare Parts Management:

  • Maintain inventory of critical spares (Yaskawa servo motors, Mitsubishi PLC modules, gas train valves).
  • Negotiate contracts with OEMs (Yaskawa, Mitsubishi) and third-party service providers.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

  • Knowledge about automotive industry best practices related to Productivity, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Safety.
  • Greenfield project experience
  • Well versed with SAP system.
  • Should be well conversant with ISO 9001,14001 and ISO 45001 system. Certified internal auditor of QMS and/ OHSAS system will have added advantage.
  • TPM awareness- JIPM -TPM system Implementation
  • Expertise over IT tools like Excel, Power Point etc.
