i) Educational Qualification

  •  

Desirable: BE (Mech)/Prod. with Welding Technology as an elective

ii) Experience

Minimum:  6 years

Maximum: 10 years

Minimum:  35 years

Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:  Attached separately

Responsibilities:

Frames, Swing arms, Silencers, CV Parts, Petrol Tanks & Small / Medium parts

New Models:

  • Run at rate for parts in a timely manner , Review of NCs identified in each R@R, Confirmation of application of HDBPs in R@R
  • Checking of DR documents
  • Follow up of dimensional deviations & actions for regularization of tolerances after process establishment with R&D.

 

Running Models:

  • IPO audits planning as per dedicated cheksheets for parts as per schedule
  • Support to vendor in training & guidance for achieving & sustaining A Grades
  • Monitoring & reduction of monthly QSR & IHR of vendors
  • Actions on HD of good engineering & management practices with respect to QSR/IHR as support.
  • Department data collection month-on-month & preparation of review presentations
  • TPM implementation at Vendors - Guidance, Review, Training, Audits.
  • Safety & legal compliance at Vendors
  • BAVA subcluster activities - Planning, Organizing & Tracking,.
  • Digitization of NPD & Existing Quality sustenance related processes.

EFR/Warranty:

  • Understand each EFR/spike in FFR.
  • Study root cause with vendor team.
  • Identify the process robustness improvement points.
  • Incorporate them into IPO Audits or Process audits to confirm sustenance.

Technical/ Functional:

  1. Able to set targets for self & for subordinates as per the Organization/Department goals.
  2. Good analytical ability.
  3. Able to bring in latest Technology in MIG, Spot & Drawn arc welding.
  4. Has good knowledge in TPM.
  5. Able to work with MS Excel, Word & Power Point

 

Behavioral

Able to gel as a team player.

 

Specific expertise required for functional area:

 

Ability to understand & trouble shoot errors in MIG/Spot welding.
