Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:

Responsibilities:

Vertical Responsibilities:

  • To meet project schedule of pre-pilot /pilot/CUFT/SOP
  • Machining feasibility study of Aluminium & ferrous parts
  • Optimized Machining process planning
  • Machining capacity planning w.r.t business plan
  • Cutting tools understanding & planning
  • Conceptualization & development of machining fixtures, inspection gauges, Automation
  • Costing of parts (machining process) / Fixtures / gauges
  • Identifying VAVE ideas at development stage & implementation
  • Development Documentation completion & handover to related verticals

 

Horizontal Responsibilities:

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

  • Should have knowledge of CNC, VMC & HMC programming & machining
  • Should be able to plan optimized machining process & capacity for Aluminium & ferrous automotive parts
  • Should have knowledge of CMM programming & report understanding
  • Capable of conceptualizing & developing fixtures /cutting tools /gauges/automation
  • Basic understanding of Aluminium & ferrous casting process
  • Basic understanding of surface treatment processes (powder coating & painting)

Specific expertise required for functional area:

  • Exposure to UG -NX
  • Exposure to DELCAM & other machining software

  • Conversant with basic MS office tools (Excel /Word/PowerPoint)
  • Conversant with TPM & other Q systems
