Job Role & Responsibilities

Role: Manager

Responsibility: To look after Steel shop, Aluminium Shop

 

• Ability to maintain and develop good relationship with shopfloor employees managing Industrial Relations

• Adopting and developing new standards, processes, for sustaining and improving PQCDSM. Monitoring of plant performance indices aligned to company vision and mission

• Leading and developing a diverse team for new capabilities and high performance

• Examining the outgoing engine quality for functional, aesthetic, safety etc.

• Budgeting for existing and future requirements

• Ensuring the audits for JH, PM, SHE parameters

• Production planning, inventory management, managing supplier exigencies and ensuring timely dispatch of material 

• Knowledge of new product development, meeting requirements of assembly & testing process planning, DFM/DFA, Equipment planning, procurement & commissioning.

• Effective use of 4M 1T

• Productivity/ Output per Man improvement

• Interface with other functions R&D, Engineering, Materials and Sales.

Maintain safety in shop with

1. Carrying out SOT/ Hiyari Hatto and clearing unsafe points

2. Promote KY ability/safety kaizens

3.Interplant Safety Audits & learning s Horizontal Deployment

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

1)Should have experience in cam shaft, Crank shaft forging, heat treatment & mainly machining.

2)Should have experience in Cylinder head, crank case, cylinder block machining.

3) Design of experiments.

4) CNC programming

5) PFMEA / QA/QM Matrix & Poka-yoke

6) Layout  

7) Fixturing & modular tooling, grinding wheels

8) Knowledge of vehicle parts viz. ECU, sensors etc

9) Knowledge of Quality systems for product and customer side quality

10) Data analysis and statistical aptitude

11) Competency in production planning, SCM and inventory management

12) Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering , packaging, technical drawing

13) Sound knowledge on supplier quality processes, NCDS, material science

 14) Hands-on exposure of handling PM and FE

15) Knowledge of grinding, honing, heat treatment

15) Crisis handling and handling unrest - protecting plant from malicious external influences and internal unrest
