JOB DESCRIPTION: FACTORY MEDICAL OFFICER
Position Title: Factory Medical Officer / Occupational Health Doctor
Reports To: General Manager - Plant Operations (Support)
Location: Factory Premises / Occupational Health Centre (OHC) @ Waluj
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Certification: AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health)
- License: Valid registration with the State Medical Council/NMC.
- Experience: 3–10 years in occupational health, industrial medicine, or casualty/emergency care.

Key Job Responsibilities / Expectations:
- Occupational Health & Surveillance: Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations, identify hazards, and assess fitness for work.
- Clinical & Emergency Care: Provide immediate first aid and treatment for injuries/illnesses, manage on-site emergencies, and coordinate referrals to hospitals.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Factories Act (e.g., maintaining Form 7/32), manage Bio-Medical Waste, and maintain confidential health records.
- Preventive Health Programs: Organize wellness programs, ergonomics training, and health education to prevent occupational diseases.
- OHC Management: Supervise paramedical staff, maintain inventory of medicines/equipment, and support EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) audits.
- Duty Hours / Timings: He must be willing to do work in shifts as per Company’s guidelines & should adjust other colleagues during their leave periods.
- Wellness Programs: Organize health awareness campaigns regarding hygiene, occupational diseases, and nutrition.
- Computer Skills: He should have knowledge of Computer especially excel for data generation and its maintenance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain confidential medical records and submit mandatory medical reports to management and statutory authorities during any audits / or as an when required.
