A key responsibility will be the integration of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay projection into the Linux-based platform. The candidate shall work on projection session management, connectivity, audio/video/input interfaces and integration of projection functionality with the cluster/infotainment HMI.

The candidate will need to work closely with HMI, middleware, connectivity, BSP and kernel/driver teams to ensure seamless integration of application functionality on the target ARM/Linux platform.

The role requires the ability to translate product requirements into robust Linux applications and services while considering performance, memory consumption, startup time, reliability, fault handling and automotive-grade software practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Linux-based C/C++ applications and system services.
  • Develop application architecture for a two-wheeler digital cluster platform.
  • Integrate vehicle information from CAN/CAN-FD and other vehicle interfaces.
  • Develop IPC mechanisms between HMI, middleware and platform services.
  • Integrate Android Auto and Apple CarPlay projection.
  • Implement and integrate projection-related connectivity, audio, video and input handling.
  • Integrate USB/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity as required for projection functionality.
  • Coordinate with HMI teams for projection screen and user interaction integration.
  • Develop and integrate Linux daemons and background services.
  • Analyze application performance, CPU/memory utilization and startup time.
  • Debug application, connectivity and projection issues on target hardware.
  • Work with BSP/kernel/driver teams to resolve platform-level integration issues.
  • Participate in architecture definition, code reviews and software design activities.
  • Support system integration, validation and customer issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior application developers and contribute to coding standards and development practices.

Preferred Additional Experience:

  • Previous experience with Android Auto / Apple CarPlay integration in automotive products.
  • Experience with automotive infotainment/digital cockpit systems.
  • Experience with USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and smartphone connectivity.
  • Understanding of A/V streaming, input events and projection protocols.
