Job Role & Responsibilities

Job Overview

To lead the overall production function for the EV manufacturing location while interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ability to maintain and develop good relationship with shopfloor employees managing Industrial Relations
  • Adopting and developing new standards, processes, for sustaining and improving PQCDSM. Monitoring of plant performance indices aligned to company goals and mission
  • Leading and developing a diverse team for new capabilities and high performance.
  • Examining the outgoing vehicle quality for functional, aesthetic, safety etc.
  • Budgeting for existing and future requirements
  • Ensuring the  audits for JH , PM, SHE parameters
  • Production planning, inventory management, managing supplier exigencies and Ensuring timely dispatch of vehicles  
  • Knowledge of new product development, meeting requirements of assembly & testing process planning, DFM/DFA, Equipment planning, procurement & commissioning.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle assembly for fit & finish
  • Effective use of Manpower , Machine and materials.
  • Productivity improvement
  • Interface with other functions R&D, Engineering, Materials and Sales.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

 

Technical

  • Knowledge of Electrical, electronics and electro-mechanical parts viz. ECU, sensors etc
  • Knowledge of Quality systems for product and customer side quality
  • Data analysis and statistical aptitude
  • Competency in production planning, SCM and inventory management
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, vehicle assembly processes, packaging, technical drawing
  • Sound knowledge on supplier quality processes, NCDS, material science.
  • Hands-on exposure of handling PM and FE
  • Crisis handling and handling unrest - protecting plant from malicious external influences and internal unrest

Functional

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team on 200+ members.
  • Develop and maintain good harmony and quality culture within and interface functions
  • Maintain cordial Industrial relations and handle grievances
