Design and Development of Instrument cluster/speedometers for 2 wheeler/3wheeler/4 wheelers

Educational Qualifications

B.E/ B Tech in Electronics/ E&TC having thorough knowledge in electronic circuit, ICs/ MCUs/ Display technologies, connectivity ( BL/ Wi-Fi) and their application in automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete Design and development of Instrument clusters for 2 wheeler/3wheeler/4 wheelers.
  • Preparation of Technical specification document based on inputs from CFT.
  • Interaction with suppliers for complete design and development of Instrument cluster.
  • Perform Design reviews and DFMEA reviews with CFT/suppliers to ensure best Design and superior quality of product.
  • Perform schematic review for electronic circuits with CFT/supplier to ensure proper functionality of Instrument cluster as per requirement.
  • Perform Design review for mechanical packaging of Instrument cluster to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Perform Timeline review with CFT/suppliers to ensure on time delivery of product.
  • Define design validation parameters for complete validation of Instrument cluster as per international/Internal standards/ certifications.
  • Benchmark new technology in market for Instrument cluster.
  • Resolution of all quality/reliability problems reported from internal testing during validation before series production.
  • Resolution of warranty/Customer quality problems raised from field using QC tools and countermeasure action

Competencies

Technical/ Functional

  • Through understanding of electronics circuit design, PCB layout/routing, thermal/ EMI/EMC aspects and CAD tool preferably Unigraphics.
  • Bluetooth & Wi-Fi technology and its application in instrument cluster.
  • Sound understanding of Display technologies like LCD, TFT etc for automotive application.
  • Hands on experience in CAN based control units. Preferably in instrument cluster
  • Thorough in basic theories and design concepts of electronics domain and mechanical domain.
  • Good understanding of ISO/IEC/IS/JASO/JIS/UDS standards
  • Hands on experience in PLM. Preferably Teamcenter.
  • Exposure to electronics manufacturing and validation facilities, hands on testing/ test set-up experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of UDS protocol and Flashing sequences.
