Job Responsibilities

• Design Electrical system and its electrical/ electronic systems Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU considering all aspects of functionality and manufacturability/ serviceability.
• Define electrical system diagram for a given project considering all regulatory/Homologation requirements.
• Getting requisite inputs to horizontal teams for design of electrical parts as per product brief,
• Interaction with concerned plant and handle manufacturing issues, interact with service teams for field related issues and co-ordinate within R&D, for issue analysis and it’s resolution and implementation.
• Co-ordinate in testing activities, preparation for senior level meetings.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:-

• Proficient in Electrical system
• Knowledge of vehicle powertrain and the interfaces arising out of electrification.
• Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally.
• Knowledge of vehicle harness design,
• Good understanding of all applicable standards/ regulations and their application
• Experience in design and development of electrical components for automotive application -, Starter motor ,Magneto , Alternators , wiper motors & Wiping systems ,-Radiator fan ,switches , solenoids , sender units , ECU based systems , Fuel injection system ,Fuel pump module , Instrument cluster, wiring harness   for 2 / 3 / 4 Wheeler projects
• Preparation master part list
• Design review  and interface design checks
• Design optimization for cost control of component
• Proto type development
• Plan for testing of components as per project schedule
• Bench marking , warranty analysis , VA/ VE
• Comply with Homologation requirements of components
• DFMEA , PFMEA

Desirable: -

Soft Skill set:-

• Auto CAD: 2-D drawing
• 3-D – Uni-Graphics modelling UG-NX7.5-Basic level
• PLM –Team center Engineering
• Knowledge of simulation software.
