Background

i) Educational Qualification

 

Desirable: Master’s degree / MBA – Marketing/Business Development / Social Sciences / Sustainability Management/ CSR/ Any related field from TISS or equivalent institutions

8-10 years’ work experience of which at least 5 years in a CSR role

ii) Experience

Minimum:  10 Years

Maximum: 15 Years

iii) Age Limit

Minimum:   35 Years

Maximum:  45 Years

Job Role & Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

Grant management:

  • Ensuring maintenance and regular update of accounting records
  • Ensuring continuous development and improvement of financial systems and processes. Identify areas for automation and efficiency
  • Collaborate with finance department of BAL, Company’s trust, and internal team members to provide financial information and support their activities
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent fraud.

Reporting:

  • Prepare & deliver reporting calendar of BAL CSL (BRR, Annual Reports, ESG etc.)
  • Preparation & coordination for board meetings: Board & Steering committee pack, MoM & driving actions.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with CSR regulation.
  • Building systems and processes effective reporting of projects executed.
  • Collection of historic data, converting the same into the proper reporting structures.

Monitoring & Assessments:

  • Ensuring periodic monitoring of all the CSR programs
  • Standardization and regularization of project monitoring and assessments
  • Development of KPI framework for flagship initiatives
  • Oversee and analyze the KPIs to measure the success and impact of CSR projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with CSR regulation for impact assessments

Processes Development & Documentation:

  • Building systems and processes to bring in standardization of all CSR processes
  • Safeguarding the organizational documents and easy accessibility for CSR team members
  • Audit mechanism for implementation of processes

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

 

  • Strategic:
  • Active participation in building BAL-CSR strategy as part of leadership team of CSR
  • Provide strategic inputs to the various new initiatives
  • Create BEST implementation strategy as per the design principles defined for BEST program for various verticals
  • Take-up few strategic initiatives independently and work with CSR Head closely in putting up the plans
  •  
  • Functional:
  • To manage the end-to-end BEST implementation activities across various BEST centers for different verticals : Currently 7 centers, by end of FY25-26 : 15-20 centers, by the end of FY26-27: 25-30 centers across India
  • To manage the BEST OPEX budget across various centers, set-up processes for effectively managing the budgets, reporting and utilization
  • To define the processes for BEST implementation as per the design framework, ensure adoption of all these processes across the centers
  • To set-up and drive very strong governance process with the leadership of various universities where BEST centers are operational.
  • To ensure reporting of all centers as per the defined structures and formats : Drive effective implementation through the team part of implementation
  • To drive closure of all actions through the team, actions emerging out of internal and external assessments – Financial and Processes
  • To drive all centers to achieved agreed outcomes & impact
  • To ensure quality implementation across the centers, deployment of quality framework
  • To ensure quality placement of all students across the centers, deployment of placement work
  • Set-up and drive strong internal review mechanisms within the teams

 

 

  1. Leadership
    • To recruit and lead competent team for BEST implementation function
    • Drive capacity building of all center critical staff
    • Leadership development within the teams to ensure effective driving of centers implementation through the teams
    • Demonstrate behavior of implementing all processes and digitization practices, to be a role model to the team
    • Identify and address any people concerned issues across the team
