Job Profile:
We are looking for an HMI development expert who can work with UI/UX specifications, GUI assets and screen transition schemes created by the design team and implement the corresponding HMI software for a Linux-based TFT instrument cluster for two-wheelers.
The selected candidate shall be responsible for translating user and design team requirements into a combination of static image assets, text, dynamic graphics objects, animations and interactive controls, while ensuring optimal use of CPU, GPU, display and memory resources.
The candidate shall work closely with the HMI/UI/UX, application, graphics and platform teams to implement screen navigation, transitions, animations, warning tell-tales, gauges, indicators, menus and vehicle information displays.
The role will involve integrating dynamic HMI elements with information received from the vehicle CAN/CAN-FD network, application services and other vehicle data sources. The candidate shall also be responsible for optimizing rendering performance, frame rate, memory utilization and boot/display response time on the target ARM/Linux platform.
The candidate should be comfortable debugging HMI issues at both the application and graphics/display stack level and should be able to work closely with BSP, middleware and kernel/driver teams during system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate HMI applications for a Linux-based two-wheeler TFT cluster.
- Implement screen layouts, navigation, transitions, animations and dynamic graphics.
- Integrate vehicle signals and system information into HMI elements.
- Optimize display composition and graphics memory utilization.
- Work with graphics/display frameworks and hardware acceleration.
- Analyze and resolve rendering, performance, flickering, tearing and frame-rate issues.
- Integrate fonts, icons, images, animations and other GUI assets.
- Participate in HMI architecture, software design and code reviews.
- Debug issues across application, graphics and display layers.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, styling, application, middleware, BSP and validation teams.
- Support software integration, testing and deployment on target cluster hardware.
