Job Description:
Join our Telematics Engineering team to lead the development and optimization of the Vehicle Network Interface. You will be the bridge between the vehicle’s edge-level implementation and the cloud, managing the critical firmware that powers Analytics, Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates, and Remote Diagnostics. This is a high-impact role where you will not only maintain current systems but also architect the connectivity solutions of the future.
Required Exposure:
- Understanding of overall IOT frameworks from security and data communication standpoints.
- Understanding of MQTT protocol, TCP/IP and UDP.
- Knowledge of security implementation using certificates in PKI environment.
- Hands – on exposure to CAN-FD, UART and SPI drivers
- Hands – on exposure to UDS and ISO-TP protocols.
Preferred add-ons:
- Working experience with Renesas RH850 microcontroller using GreenHills/ CS+ compiler and E2 debugger using C/ C++.
- Experience with Doxygen for document generation.
- Scripting skills (Perl/Python/VB) would be an added advantage.
Core Responsibilities
- System Ownership: Manage the microcontroller-based firmware that interfaces between the vehicle network and the cellular modem.
- Feature Implementation: Drive the edge-level logic for critical telematics functions, including OTA Flashing, remote diagnostics, and data analytics.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead cross-functional troubleshooting to determine if issues originate in the Cloud, Network Interface, or Vehicle Interface, and coordinate resolutions.
- Connectivity Optimization: Partner with stakeholders to refine device provisioning and optimize network traffic to ensure a robust, high-performance connection.
- Architecture Evolution: Identify design improvements and participate in shaping the next-generation connectivity architecture for future vehicle platforms.
- Problem Solver: Ability to analyze complex system logs to debug intermittent connectivity issues in a distributed cloud-to-vehicle ecosystem.
- Collaborative Mindset: Experience working with cloud engineers and system architects to optimize end-to-end data flow.
