3. Background

   i) Educational Qualification

   Essential:
   ▪ Graduate / Post Graduate in Mech engg. from reputed institute
   ▪ Clarity of engineering fundamental concepts
   ▪ Understanding of FEA / CAE processes
   ▪ Hands-on experience in structural explicit (crash) analysis

   Desirable:
   ▪ Post graduate in machine design
   ▪ Awareness regarding crash standards for vehicles

   ii) Experience
   Minimum: 4                           Maximum: 7

   iii) Age Limit
   Minimum: 28yrs                       Maximum: 32yrs

4. Job Role & Responsibilities

   Role: CAE Engineer (Crash)

   Responsibilities:
   ▪ Virtual validation (FEA) of full vehicle and structural components
     for crashworthiness
   ▪ Evaluate energy absorption, intrusion, and structural performance
     in Impact
   ▪ Correlation of CAE results with physical crash test data

5. Competency Requirements

   Technical / Functional:
   ▪ Exposure to CAE tools / techniques
   ▪ Domain knowledge mainly Crash & Impact. Add-on durability / NVH
     is preferred
   ▪ Strong understanding of material behavior
   ▪ Knowledge of automotive structures (BIW, chassis, closures)
     and test methodology

   Behavioral:
   ▪ Zeal for learning, Adaptability to change
   ▪ Taking initiative and desire to transform concepts to reality
   ▪ Effective communication with team, peers and seniors

   Specific expertise required for functional area:
   ▪ Experience with following softwares preferable:
     Altair / Hyperworks, LS-DYNA, LS-PrePost, Radioss etc.
