Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Spare Parts Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end spare part logistics operations for all BU. The role involves managing logistics service providers (LSPs), driving digital transformation, ensuring cost-efficient freight management, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management
- Build and manage logistics capacity in line with forecasted demand.
- Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct regular performance reviews of LSPs, focusing on:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Damage/Shortage metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with logistics partners.
- Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with Sales, Plant Operations, Finance, and LSPs on a daily basis to resolve field/dealer issues.
- Act as a single point of contact for escalations related to spare parts logistics.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to enable smooth distribution operations.
- Digital Transformation
- Lead and support digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and monitor a Logistics Control Tower for daily performance tracking and exception management.
- Drive automation in operational workflows and reporting.
- Freight Management
- Coordinate with Finance to resolve LSP-related freight queries and disputes.
- Oversee monthly freight processing, validation, and payment workflows.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in logistics and freight operations.
- Claim Management
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of damage/shortage claims.
- Coordinate with LSPs and internal teams to close claims within defined timelines.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of vendor management and logistics contracts.
- Experience in managing LSP performance and freight transactions.
- Exposure to digital tools, automation, or control tower systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
