  1. JOB PURPOSE

 

Ensure smooth operations of Motorcycle Engine Assembly shop and meet the daily / weekly / monthly / yearly production target.

Daily 7K – 8K engines are produced and supplied to Domestic and export vehicle assembly lines. Rigorous monitoring of PQCDSM parameters for continuous improvement through TPM Way of working. Continuous interface with cross functional departments like Vehicle Assembly, Machine shops, CKD, ME, QA, PPC for related challenges and get their support to achieve PQCDSM targets. Closely interaction with cell members working on various conveyor lines in Engine assembly to achieve daily output and resolve labour issues and support them for removing their pain areas.  Own/support activities related to New Model Introduction, Output/man/DPR/RFT/Flexibility Improvement, VAVE Proposals, New Technology Adaption, Engineering change (ECN) Implementation etc. On job training and development of newcomers.

 Cell member strength of EA MCD is @ 600, divided in two shifts.    EA has 4 conveyors. Production is done of 2 shift basis and managed by 3-4 Manages.  Position requires working in Shifts.

Educational Qualifications

 

BE (Mechanical) / BE (Production) from renowned institute.

Work Exp

Min:  3 years

 6 years

Industry Specification

  Preferably from Automobile OEM where Engines are manufactured.

 Additional Requirements

Knowledge about Engine Assembly line balancing and work content / work measurement techniques awareness and Engine Testing etc.

Preferred Vernacular Language:

  English / Hindi + Marathi advantage

Technical

  • Knows and able to drive Process/Productivity improvements, VAVE cost saving proposals for engine assembly.
  • Knowledge of Best Assembly Practices of products, processes and equipment used in automobile industries for multi model Engine Assembly lines .
  • Aware about the latest developments and techniques used for conveyorized engine assembly and automations.
  • Knowledge about engine testing and testing equipment.
  • Should have knowledge and exposure in implementation of
  1. TPM systems, including JH/KK/E&T/QM pillar activities.
  2. Compliance to various ISO System Audits – QMS, EMS, OHSAS
  3. Material Flow, Material Handling improvement
  4. Pokayoke and Automation for defect free production.
  5. Cost reduction methods and techniques associated with work area.
  6. Able to derive energy conservation ideas.

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library)

  • Ensure smooth operations of conveyor lines: Plan and achieve shift wise production target as per quality standards.
  • Provide support to team members in the shops to improve in PQCDSM parameters.
  • Interface, planning and execution of engineering changes at engine assembly.
  • Coordinate hassle free introduction of new models (engine side) as per management plans.
  • Coordinate with Automation team to convert manual processes into automation.
  • Plan to analyze to improve line RFT / OLE/ DPR
  • On the job training and capability building of cell members & DTEs for current as well as future roles.
