- JOB PURPOSE
Facility Planning for Machine shop components and Engine Assembly Processes for executing manufacturing activities as per Management targets including New Model Introduction, New Cell/Line Establishment, Capacity & Budget Planning and Continuous PQCDSM improvements (e.g. Process Improvements for establishment of 3P Controls, Output/man/DPR/RFT/Flexibility Improvement, VAVE Proposals, New Technology Adaption etc). Yearly Budget Planning & utilization including RFQ’s to the supplier, supplier finalization, PO generation, Receipt & Commissioning of Machines. Yearly Fixed Cost Budgeting & Procurement as per Requirements. Monthly Manpower Planning as per Production Volumes & Labour PO Budgeting. BOM & Engineering change (ECN) Study & Implementation. Driving the Manpower saving Projects thru ECRS, Offloading, Automation. Role is also responsible for providing technical support to vendors for improving capacity, Quality and Productivity. |

Knowledge about Aluminium & steel Machining processes, New Cell/Line setting, CNC Machine programming, Selection of Machines & Cutting tools, Design & Selection of Jigs and Fixturing, line balancing and Quick Set-up change with Increased Flexibility, inspection, and Know-how of testing Equipments. Knowledge of Engine Assembly Part & Processes, Assembly Tools & Technique. Knowledge of Generation Process - Casting (HPDC, LPDC & GDC) & Forging. |

Technical |
1. Knowledge of planning, procurement, and commissioning of all manufacturing facilities related to Machine shop components (5 Cs) of Motorcycle. 2. Knowledge of related Machine tools, fixtures, manufacturing Processes related Machining and Engine assly. 3. Awareness & understanding of commercial / negotiation processes for ordering of capital equipment – CNC Machines, Inspection systems, material handling systems, Automations, Cutting tools. 4. Knows and able to drive Process/Productivity improvements, VAVE cost saving proposals for Machine shops. 5. Should have detailed knowledge of products, processes, equipment, Latest Developments & Technology used in automobile industries. 6. Knowledge of PFMEA & DFMEA of 2 Wh Parts & Process. 7. Knowledge of DFA/DFM & its Execution for New Model Planning & ECN Implementation 8. Should possess understanding of Machining component part drawings, auto cad and 3D drawing software like UG Nx, Team center. 9. Should have knowledge of budgeting, planning and utilization / execution of the same - capital and revenue. 10. Knowledge of engineering BOM, manufacturing BOM and Materials BOM. 11. Should have knowledge and exposure in implementation of TPM systems, including JH/KK/DM/QM activities. 12. Knowledge about machine shop components – inspection and testing, HT treatment, casting and forging manufacturing. 13. Knowledge about QMS / SHEMS / EMS management systems and audits during certification. |

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library) |

1. Planning and execution of engineering changes at M/c shop or engine assembly as released by R&D. 2. Coordinate hassle free introduction of new models (Machine shop side) as per management plans. 3. Budget planning and execution for ensuring capacity as per management plans. 4. Provide technical support to vendors for improving capacity, quality, and productivity. 5. Coordinate with Supplier, MTD, Automation team to convert manual process into automation. 6. Plan to analyze to improve line Performance indices - RFT / OLE/ DPR 7. Provide support to inhouse production shops (Machine shops/Engine Assembly) to improve in PQCDSM parameters. 8. Coordinate with R&D, CD, Materials and vendor for new model development, engineering change implementation as and when required. |
